Minty Plumbing is a UK-based plumbing and heating services company operating across multiple local service areas in and around Greater London and the South East of England. As a new business with a brand-new website, Minty Plumbing had zero online presence and no organic search visibility at the outset of this engagement.
The company offers a comprehensive range of residential and commercial services including emergency plumbing, boiler installation, boiler repair, boiler service, and general plumbing works. Their target audience consists of homeowners and businesses across specific geographic areas who require reliable, fast-response plumbing and heating solutions.
Executive Summary

The challenge was significant: competing in a highly local, competitive market dominated by established plumbing businesses with years of domain authority and online reviews.
Our SEO team conducted a comprehensive audit and immediately identified the core issues, which were as follows:
- The website was not indexed properly and had no location-targeted content.
- It lacked backlinks, and suffered from technical performance issues that would prevent Google from ranking it favourably.
We implemented a structured 6-month SEO campaign spanning technical fixes, on-page optimisation, location-based content creation, and local SEO. Within just 2 months, Minty Plumbing began appearing in Google search results across 8+ service locations, generating measurable traffic and qualified leads.
Strategy & Approach
Technical SEO Audit & Fixes:
Our first priority was to resolve the foundational technical issues preventing the website from being crawled and indexed effectively by Google. The audit revealed several critical issues:
- Site speed optimisation: Load times were between 3 to 4 seconds, well above the acceptable threshold. We reduced this to under 2 seconds through image compression, code minification, and caching improvements.
- Mobile responsiveness: The website had layout and usability issues on mobile devices. Given that the majority of local plumbing searches are performed on mobile, this was a high-priority fix.

On-Page Optimisation:
With target keywords defined, we systematically updated every key page on the website:
- Meta titles and descriptions: Rewritten to include primary location keywords and compelling calls-to-action to improve click-through rates from search results.
